Popona is a family-owned Czech brand founded in 2019, originally specializing in handcrafted handbag organizers. The name POPONA is inspired by the Hawaiian word for “pocket,” perfectly reflecting the many compartments our organizers offer.
Over time, our collection naturally expanded to include other essential accessories designed to care for luxury goods. Today, we proudly offer pillow inserts, protective films, and other original accessories.
As a Czech brand, we place great emphasis on quality craftsmanship and premium materials. All our organizers and inserts are lovingly handmade in the Czech Republic, allowing us to guarantee that each piece is unique and crafted to the highest standards.

DENISA
My name is Denisa, and I am the founder, heart, and soul of Popona. I’ve always had a passion for beautiful and luxurious things. My journey began in 2014, when I first stepped into the world of high fashion and had the opportunity to learn from the very best – pioneers in the luxury industry such as Louis Vuitton and Prada.
But I’ve always been creative, with a strong desire to build something of my own – something that would become part of this refined fashion world.
When Popona was born, my determination, stubbornness, and perfectionism came into full force – especially when I couldn’t find a seamstress who matched my vision. So I took matters into my own hands. I sat down at a sewing machine and learned the craft from scratch. Sewing quickly became another passion of mine, and even though I now work alongside a talented seamstress, many of our products are still made with love by me.
Two months after launching Popona, my life changed forever – I found out I was going to become a mother. Starting a business while navigating pregnancy and motherhood wasn’t easy. But with the incredible support of my husband and family, I managed to balance it all. Our little girl turned out to be the best boss I could ask for – teaching me how to harmonize my business with family life.

STORY BEHIND
While working for renowned fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and Prada, I met women every day in search of the perfect handbag – one that would be their ideal everyday companion. Each client had her own unique style, yet many shared the same needs when it came to functionality.
I noticed that many women struggled with handbags that lacked practical compartments for daily essentials. Another common concern was keeping the interior of an expensive handbag clean and tidy with regular use. I experienced this myself with the Palm Springs backpack from my own collection. It’s a beautiful piece – but its dark interior turned it into a black hole where everything got lost. I often found myself desperately digging around, trying to find my keys. Once, in sheer frustration, I even emptied the contents onto the ground just to find them.
That’s when the idea struck me! I realized I needed something to brighten and organize the inside of my bag. And that was the moment Popona was born – an innovative helper designed to transform every handbag into an organized, easy-to-maintain space.
